Jedi Unity

Hello All,

I am sorry for the long delay in my blogging. A lot of really new and cool developments have been going on in my life. All will be explained in the upcoming blogs.

This blog here is dedicated to the Bocsauce. He is true blue and has helped me to realize that now is the time for true Monk training. So now in these cold times here in Cleveland I must rise above the elements to train hard both mind and body. Though the conditions outside are very similar to those on the Planet of Hoth, I continue to train both on the indoor track at the Veale Center at Case Western Reserve University and I also am hitting the roads.

We now know that the Star Wars life and the way of the Jedi is what shall guide me through these dark and trying times. In the coming weeks I shall review great old time Star Wars gaming as well as using Star Wars as my principle for training. Much like when Luke was on Degobah and was struggling with his mastery of the force, I must now struggle against my own doubts and fears to be back on the track and do well for my coach and mentor, Frank Gagliano.

I leave you with a video remix of the Battle of Hoth...........

As always I thank you all for your love and support. I shall blog soon about the other developments in my life which have me in a great place both mentally and physically. Take care and God Bless

7/31/2010

Hello all,

Been awhile people and I hope everyone is doing well. Things right now are going in a very good direction so I am going to take some time now to explain it all.

First off the whole school thing is taking shape and it looks like I will be finished with my undergrad in a little over a year's time. I had very good meetings at Cleveland State University and now I am just working on all the small stuff from financial aid and whatnot from both CSU and Tri-C. I am going to finish with my degree in Classical and Medieval Studies. I know it sounds like a strange and worthless major, but I enjoy learning about that time period. Thank you for the kind words of support. For the longest time I was scared and embarrassed to go back, but I know what I need to do and I am just moving forward.

Quick shout out to my boys Brian Verne and Mike Eppich who have started CnXn Apparel. They are from here in the 216 and are two hard working guys trying to help inner city youth and raise pride in our city. They are not only limited to Cleveland and have product that will help any one represent and "Connect" themselves to their own hometown. Please check out the website as well as becoming fans of them on Facebook and Twitter.

Working out has been going well and I am plugging away and just training hard. I have had two good "mini" track workouts and my calf has never been better. I would like to thank Erin Lake and Chris Shenberger for saving my life> mad props to the Case Sports Medicine Staff. Also, thank you for the t-shirt I am wearing it proudly as I blog. I have been doing some good lifts and keeping my weight low and my reps high. I am liking this style of lifting and it is really helping me with my flexibility and strength endurance.

I now leave you with what I think is one of the happiest songs of all time. I do not watch the show but I wish that Glee would do an all R. Kelly episode. My brother did point out that could be impossible because no one can sing like the Pied Piper of R&B. Thank you all for your love and support and I draw my strength from you. CHEERS!

Hello All,

After a short break and a lot of unneeded ESPN drama, I am back! I hope everyone had a safe 4th and that you were able to beat the summer heat (no pun intended).

I will not touch the subject of Lebron and the whole "Woe is Cleveland" thing. This city will be fine and people are starting to move on.

Things on the training front are going well, or at least in forward motion. I have been able to get into the weight room last week and will be leaving shortly for my lift today. It feels so good to be in there and just go after it. I have been averaging 60-90 min session with high reps and low weight. I am focusing a lot of balance and core strength, because I was told that was the reason my hip and calf keep on going out on me. Today will be a nice circuit training day with some plyos and ab work! I have been listening to a lot of Kid Cudi while in the weight room and will probably go with him or Bone today. No matter what I shall rep that 216 proud.

Lately I have been attempting to learn the bass guitar. This project is coming along nicely and I am almost able to play with confidence one song haha. I started off just learning Weezer songs off of tabs because they are not too intricate with the guitar. My dexterity is slowing getting there. I just need to put in more time and energy. If I put in the same amount of time I did on Rock Band or Guitar Hero, I think I will be at least "decent."

There were many July birthdays so far and to all of my friends and loved ones I leave you with a special song from one of my favorite cartoons. I actually have this episode on DVD and may pop it in after I post this. Keep up the good work out there everyone and I shall do the same. I thank you always for the support and love. I have been happy since I moved back and things are falling into place. I have maybe found my calling (that will be a later post). So God bless and CHEERS!

Hello All,

Hope everyone is enjoying the first day of July. It seems like this summer has been flying by. July is a good month and I know a lot of people who say it is his/her favorite month, so I would like to give props to the month named for Julius Caesar.

It has been awesome running weather here on the shores of Lake Erie. Low 70s and sunny. I was able to get in close to 6 miles with 3 miles of that being hill work. There is a grassy "park" where the Case Western Reserve team does hill workouts. I got my workout from Kathy Lanese. I did 6 loops of a long hill, short steep hill, and flat straightaway. If felt really good for my first time. I have really gotten away from hills since my days at Tennessee. There you cannot avoid hills. So overall good workout and it I'm slowly working my way back into it.

After the workout I went down to Ohio City and had lunch at Heck's Cafe. Brilliant place with good burgers and great atmosphere. It is a stone's throw away from my old HS so I decided to take a quick walk around St. Ignatius. That place is still the same with some modern improvements. I have really come to appreciate that place the older I get. I cannot wait to send my boys there one day.

This post will be short and sweet. One last shout out to all my Canadian brothers and sisters. HAPPY CANADA DAY!!! I leave you all with a video that pretty much sums up Canada and what drives the nation. God bless you all and get out and get running! CHEERS

Hello All,

Hope everyone had a great and safe weekend. I bounced around here and there. I would like to give some belated birthday props to @msharik. Follow on twitter, she is a funny gal.

My left calf has still been toying with me. One day it seems fine, the next it locks up. I really need to get a good massage and have it worked on. If anyone has any recommendations here in Cleveland let me know!

Today was a crazy, muggy day. I did 5x600 (80 pace through 400m), 4x400 (75), 5x200 (35). It felt nice and easy on my legs but breathing was a little tough and it was hot. Thank God I am heeding the words of George Watts and staying hydrated. This would have been ugly. Mentally I am still a little cluttered, but I am trying to attack each day and keep the momentum. I am just still trying to get a good schedule together so I can be as organized as possible. It is what I need to succeed. In my old age I learned that I am not the best with a ton of free time.

I am waiting this week for my new shoes from Spira Footwear. Again, I would like to thank Spira and Judy for helping me out and keeping shoes on my feet. All the little things add up to something great.

I now leave you with a great, great video. I will go on the record saying that this show is the best of all time! I can watch it to this day and I give thanks to the creative geniuses who helped me learn to read and count as a child. God bless all of you who have my back and thank you for the strength you give me. CHEERS

6/24/2010

Hello All,

Would like to start off by thanking Spira Footwear for their generous support of my comeback by sending me shoes. I am very excited to try them out and give reviews and feedback. Please everyone click the link and check them out.

Training has been going well during this strength phase. I did some form sprints the other day with my brothers over at the Village Stadium at Case. It felt good to get the legs moving fast again. The mileage is staying steady and so far besides some soreness there are no major problems with my old body!

I would like to take a minute though to give props to the US National Soccer Team. Yesterday was amazing! I watched every second of the match on the edge of my seat and you delivered when it mattered most. Though the masses here in America do not embrace the sport we DO embrace you and your efforts in Africa. Best of luck in the round of 16 and beyond.

I leave you all with a great video highlighting America and what a great nation it is. Take care and thank you all for the love and support. CHEERS

6/20/2010

Hello All!

Here is the latest installment of what I call my life. I promise I will not talk about the US match, because that would take awhile and involve a lot of words that are not family friendly. On that note, let's get to it.

I had family in this week and it was great to see Aunt Nancy. She took care of me and watched over me when I was a little guy in New Jersey. The weather here has been starting to get muggy so working out and running has been a tad annoying, but I still have been able to get some good work in. I am hoping to get on the track again tomorrow and I will post the results of my workout.

I am still getting antsy about getting into the weight room for lifting and plyos. I guess I just have a lot of energy that I want to get out in a positive manner. I have still been working on the bass guitar. I am slowly getting better. It is so much fun to try new things and unlike drawing and art, I can actually do music.

I would like to say Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there. I know it is a hard job fellas and I appreciate all you do in shaping the youth of America. Especially the young men of America who will be the fathers of tomorrow. God bless you all.

I leave you with a video that proves no matter what you can accomplish anything. Even when the odds are stacked against you, one can rise above and do great things. Right now in my life I am a little out of order and I feel as if my back is against the wall. Much like Little Joe I will come out swinging and attack my opposition so I can become a champion. I love you all and thank you. CHEERS

6/17/2010

Hello All,

Past two days have been new and exciting for me. Yesterday was a day of two firsts. I joined Foursquare and have been having fun with that and also I was with Dave Roman and he was giving me a crash course on the bass guitar. He let me borrow his guitar and amp and I am slowly working my way to rock immortality. I have been playing around with bass tabs and mostly working on Weezer songs because they are not too complicated and also I love Weezer.

Running has been pretty good. After a solid 400m workout two days ago, I attempted some 800s today on the track. I felt great through 3 of them, but my left calf started to cramp up a bit. Nothing major but I just need to be cautious. I am hoping I can start lifting soon at Veale. I am getting pretty antsy and really want to attack these workouts.

Mentally things have been up and down but I am keeping calm and keeping a clear mind. Things are all going in the right direction and I just need to stay this path. I have been finding good outlets for my energy and stress levels like the guitar and crossword puzzles. I know I sound like I have the most exciting life ever.

I cannot wait for tomorrow's US National Soccer match. I will be up early and to the nearest bar or location where I can watch with other fans. It is great to be an American and tonight I leave you with a video of a "Real American." Love you all and thank you for all the support. CHEERS

Hello all,

I have some time right now as I am updating my Garmin before heading out for a little workout. Today is going to be 12x400m with 30sec ir @ about 80sec pace. So not too challenging, but something to get the heart and legs going.

It's still been crazy here with all the kids in the house. There is clothes and shoes and furniture everywhere, but we are close to getting organized. Just another day in the life of the Sylvester family. I had a great weekend with my family for Eric's bday and was able to hang out with a good friend. Back to the grind this week and focusing on attacking the mileage and getting back in shape.

I am also being proactive on the school front. I have my transcripts from UT and will be going to CSU to schedule a meeting and get a plan of attack. So I guess things are all going in the right direction even though right now things look bleak. This has been a great test mentally and I am just keeping the head up and plowing through. I am very excited about getting my new Case ID so I can hit the weight room and just train hard. I miss the weight room and the feeling you get when you leave. Though you are dead tired you have a great feeling of accomplishment. After all my talks with the "GURU" I have a better sense of what to work on and I cannot wait to use his teachings.

Check out Tender Fist. Up and coming performer in the Cleveland area and a good friend of mine.

Get out and run people! Enjoy the sun and the weather. If you cannot run, then just walk or be active and bring a friend. It is addicting and will greatly impact not only your life, but those around you!

Thank you all for the words and prayers. I can feel the love and it is keeping me on my grind through these hard times. I am off to the track now and will be updating more. CHEERS!

Hello all,

Past two days have been pretty good and fun. I went to the track yesterday and did 8x200m with 1:30ir. I averaged about 28 seconds and it felt nice and easy. Later I just hung out with the family and started to reorganize the room.

Today was a nasty one for the early hours. It was cold and rainy and I was not motivated to head out in that crap. I waited until it cleared up and hit the track and did some sprints with my brother eric. It is getting a little muggy out. I used some 5-TETRA and ENDORPHIX for both workouts and felt great. I love the feeling I get from those products. The "Death March Diet" continues even though I am back in Ohio. I am starting to see good results and I am feeling lighter on my runs.

Tonight I leave you with an inspirational scene from the movie Bloodsport. You have to love JCVD and his flicks. This movie is truly kick ass and even more so when you know it was based on a true story. Look up Frank Dux, he was a total beast! God bless you all and thank you for the support. CHEERS

6/7/2010

Hello all,

I have been a busy bee these past few days and getting my bearings back in Ohio. I know there was a delay, but now I am getting on a good schedule and will get you up to speed.

The drive from Florida was a lot better than expected and I was able to make the entire trip in a little over 18hrs. I thought I was going to be all right, but ended being all cracked out and passing out hard that day. My body took about two days to recover and that led me into the weekend. I was able to see a lot of old friends this weekend and that was a great, great time.

Today was a great day as I woke up early and headed down to Case for a morning workout. First time I have been down there since I moved and it felt good to be back. It is just a great, simple place to train. The weather was perfect and I did 3 miles of a "Lane 8 tempo" and then did two sets of sprints with body weight exercises in between. I did 50yd sprint/ 50 jumping jacks x2, 40yd sprint/ 25 squats x2, 30yd sprint/ 25 V-ups x2, 20yd sprint/ 25 push ups x2. Two sets of that made for a good day. Got in about 6-7 total miles today and will tack on another 2-3 this evening in a nice shakeout.

Thank you all for your continued support, especially those here in Cleveland who have embraced me and understand the situation I am in. I am continue to move forward and keep this great focus. Love you all, CHEERS

Hello all!

Today was a great day to really reflect and think about "heroism." I found that Band of Brothers was on Spike TV today and I watched a few of the episodes. I periodically watch this mini series when I need to see our "Greatest Generation" at its best. I honestly get choked up when I hear the real life stories of these men in their own words. I cannot believe the courage it took and the sense of duty they had for our nation. I watch the reenactment of the Battle of Normandy and I got goosebumps from head to toe. If they can endure that hell, then I can endure training and the pain of this comeback. I thank all who served and died for me and our great country! God Bless.

Tomorrow I leave for Cleveland. It is a long journey and I am going to be completely cracked out when I reach there. I have blogger set up on my blackberry, so I will be able to give updates when I stop for gas and have time.

I leave you with a clip from my favorite cartoon ever, Home Movies. This is Coach McGuirk talking about the agony of defeat and losing "graciously." Thank you all for the love and support! CHEERS

5/30/2010

Hello all!!!

I have been sitting on a fence for the past few years of my life. I don't know if it was fear or embarrassment, but something internally has kept me from growing and reaching my potential. I have great talks with people and I "hear" them but I do not "listen." Today I have made the decision that I need to go back to Ohio and this is where I will chase my dream and where I will write this next chapter.

I have been going all over the country for the past 6 years following this "dream." I have had near successes, but never really gave it my all. I was always getting pulled mentally and emotionally. This is my last shot to show the US and the world what I am made of. I need to go back to the basic living. I have a great support system in Cleveland and I am grateful to the city. It is time for me to finish school and sell out training.

I had a great talk with Justin Gatlin yesterday. He has always been there for me and has been a great man to talk to. After I hung up the phone I knew what I had to do. I need to swallow all my pride and just own up to what I need to do and attack it the way I would attack one of my races. No more doubt, no more being passive.

The kind words and comments about my blog has really got to me. It is time to stop "half-assing" life. Today is a planning day with the "Guru" and we set up the blueprint for success. Not an easy road, but nothing worth doing is easy. God bless everyone and thank you! CHEERS

5/28/2010

Hello All,

It has been an interesting few days and the vision is becoming more clear. I have had many great conversations with the "Guru" and the "Death March Doctor." We have been planning my schedule and my attack strategy for these next months until I decide to open up during the indoor season. I think the major problem I have been having is that I think this is going to be a quick thing. It is going to be a sprint to the finish and I will rush back into the shape. I was getting frustrated about results and the slow pace of the comeback. I was then reminded by the "Guru" using the eloquent words of Ice Cube that "Life is not a track meet, it's a marathon." I now know I have to embrace this "Marathon Muscle" lifestyle and only then will I have peace of mind and see real results.

I have been "Death Marching" now for a little over 2 weeks and I have seen great results. I have really customized my diet so I have had great energy to train, but I am really optimizing the amount of fat I am burning. I am in great spirits and I can see the path I need to take.

I leave you with the video of the day. It needs no introduction and this shows how you can train old school and still live the modern "Marathon Muscle" lifestyle. I thank you all and CHEERS

Hello All!

Today is a big day for me personally as I was welcomed to join Muscleology, part of the FLEXUS family. I met with the team in Davie, Fl and was very impressed with the product and love that they showed me.

During my base training phase I am focusing on building lean muscle and controlling weight. I was introduced to two great products and I am excited to try them out and see the results. One is the Nitro-Pro protein. This protein gives me 30g of protein per serving and is also low carb. The biggest sell to me is that it is flavored by Stevia and I have been using that more and more as my sweetener of choice on the "Death March Diet."

The other product I was introduced to was the Myofiber. This product is used in conjunction with my Nitro-Pro. It contains CLA, flax seed, and omega 3,6,9. It helps to keep the body regular and helps with the protein absorption which will be perfect for me while I am training and "Death Marching."

I would like to thank Muscleology and FLEXUS SPORTS again for inviting me into the family and I am looking forward to using this great product in order to achieve my athletic goals. Things are coming together! Thank you all and CHEERS

5/23/2010

To my followers I apologize for the delay in posts. It has been a crazy week and I have not really had the time to collect myself and put my thought down in writing.

First off, I would like to thank you all for your prayers and support for my family. My father is doing well and he is going to be out of the hospital soon. I know he would say thank you as well and I know also that he is gathering strength from all your support. This has been a trying week and led to a lot of prayer and reflection. A lot of good is going to come out of this bump in the road and I thank God for this blessing in disguise.

I tried a spinning class for the first time in my life and right now I regret it. I am a very competitive person and I tried my hardest in the class and gave it 110%. However, being a newcomer to the biking world I was not very smooth pedaling and I put too much force on my left leg and I have tweaked my quad. I have been out of commission the past 2-3 days with only light riding and stretching. I have been talking with the "Guru" about different rehab exercises and I have been doing a lot of water excerises in the ocean to calm the pain and well as continue to build fitness.

I have started on my "Death March Diet" this week. The "Guru" has given me the blueprint for success and now the ball is in my court to execute. I have a great opportunity to really use his wisdom to better my abilities as a runner and athlete. I keep watching episode 5 of Star Wars and I feel like Luke learning about the "Force." It will not be an easy road, but one that will yield great things if followed correctly.

I leave you with a video clip from Ep.5 which fully explains where I am at in my training and life. I thank you all and again sorry for the delay. It is NOW OR NEVER! CHEERS

5/19/2010 Part Two

Today was a day of mixed emotions and feelings. Earlier in the day I got to see an old friend and have lunch. I have not since this friend since 2004 and it was amazing to catch up and be up to speed on what is going on. After that I was on the grind and had a productive day for the FLEXUS GROUP. I thank you all who have decided to be fans of the EPIC Performance site. We are going to be having great specials soon so look for them in the near future.

Tonight my sister called and informed me that my father is in the hospital. He is doing well and I thank those who have already sent messages and prayers. Those out there that did not know if you could throw up a little prayer or thought, it would mean the world to me and my family.

I started my "Death March" today and it felt great and I am looking foward to waking up and attacking the day tomorrow. I will be working in Miami tomorrow so that will be fun. The video for tonight shows the dangers of cooking in the home. With that in mind, next time you are hungry and want good, clean, healthy food check out Pasha's in south Florida. You will NOT be disappointed! Thank you all for the love and CHEERS

5/19/2010 Part One

Morning all! Early rise and took my sweet time to fully wake up. I watched an episode of Saved by the Bell, took two ELEVATE-ATP and was out the door at 8am to get my cardio in. Hit the stationary bike for about 16 miles and felt pretty good and easy. Today is a good day because I get to meet a friend for lunch that I have not seen in about 6 years! Always good to link up with old friends.

The video for this morning is for my 216, O.N.E. people who have had my back and have been supporting since the beginning. Though I am living in Florida, I will forever be repping my true city and home, CLEVELAND, OHIO. Thank you and love you all. CHEERS

5/18/2010 Part Two

Good evening all! Today was a very solid day and there was a lot of positive energy flowing today. Work was good and there was a lot of great planning laid our for an exciting future. I will blog more about that and the FLEXUS GROUP as things develop.

I talked to the "Guru" today after stepping on the scale. OUCH! I am a little over where I need to be so we set up a great plan for the next couple weeks. I am hitting the stationary bike hard for two weeks to get my cardio in without pounding on the pavement and I am starting the "Death March Diet" as soon as I wake tomorrow. I got in about 30 miles of biking at a good pace and it felt good. I took one Endorphix and two EPIC 5-Tera before the ride. It really kicked in about the 35min mark and I was able to really push hard the last 20 minutes. After the ride I stretched as I drank my EPIC Trauma Bomb and 1-Micropro recovery shake. Cannot complain right now, but as all things it will catch up to me soon.

Early to rise tomorrow to get my riding in before church. The video below is a classic and a favorite of mine. When I think of the HBK and his sweet sweet chin music I get chills and I am taken back to my childhood. Thank you and love you all. CHEERS

5/18/2010 Part One

Morning! I would like to start off today by showing some love to a great man and friend of mine. This man has had my back for a number of years and has always been there to lend an ear and to give advice about any topic. He is also making great strides in his running since leaving Duke and I expect big things from this man. He is a great model for those out there who never want to give up and keep pushing themselves closer and closer to greatness. I have always been impressed by his drive and will be updating his results on my blog.

So people please show Ian Cronin some love and get behind and support him. I included a video of his race from the 2010 Oregon Twilight meet where he PRed and nearly broke the magical 4 minute barrier for a full mile. God bless you Ian and keep up the good work.

Regular post to come later, but just had to show some love to a good friend. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart and check him out! CHEERS

5/17/2010 Part Two

Hello all! The evening was pretty productive here for the FLEXUS GROUP and myself. Got a lot of work done in the afternoon and took a nice power nap. Man, I love taking an hour to just relax. It really sets up the rest of my evening for work. I went through a push up and sit up circuit and was listening to old 311. So I wanted to add the video to one of my favorite songs on the first album.

Dinner was great as mad props to Shuck n' Dive in Fort Lauderdale. Great people and cajun food that is to die for. They had fresh crawfish and a great atmosphere. A win-win situation for all.

Now I am winding down for the evening so I can recharge and be up early tomorrow. Check out Earl Pote and the UNHUMAN pogo group. Some really cool stuff and really shows that people are out there doing some cool things in nonconventional ways. Google him please. As always thank you out there for the love. CHEERS

5/17/2010 Part One

Great morning so far. Woke up at 6am and got my butt out the door. It was tough and I felt sluggish and heavy, but was able to get 3 miles in and some strides. I know it does not seem like much, but every little bit helps and I need to establish a good pattern and rhythm in my life right now. Got to watch some Saved by the Bell before I headed off to church. Man, I love that show and could talk about it all day. Great stuff.

Church was amazing and helped to wake me up and start my day off on a positive note. Thank you God for being there for me and being my ultimate guide on this journey.

Major shout out to the Brew Urban Cafe here in Lauderdale. Always great service and excellent lattes. I thank you

Everyone out there, you are what fuels me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! CHEERS

I know it's been a few days, but I have been all over the place. Friday night I went to see A Nightmare on Elm Street. I liked the spin that they put on the story and enjoyed the movie a lot. I love that horror series so I guess it would not take too much to please me.

Saturday I was in Miami all day long. Wow do I love that city! I was downtown and got to see so many things. It is so alive and has a great vibe to it. I was with Rich Betor of ETC and his fiancee Carla. They are tremendous people and showed me a great time around the city.

Today was a nice lazy day. I do not run on Sundays so it was a recharge day for the next week. The "Guru" has put together my new lifting phase and we start that this week. I am a little nervous because I am dreading that aching feeling you get when you start something back up. This whole thing is going to be a long long process, but it will be an exciting and fun one. Must learn to crawl before you can walk and so I am taking baby steps back. I want to make sure I am doing things correctly and not throwing myself into things I cannot handle and risk injury.

In the future I will be posting video blogs as well as posting old races from HS and college on here and my Youtube channel "Sylvester2012." I again thank you all for the love and support. It warms my heart and helps me get out of bed early knowing that some people still care and want to see me succeed. CHEERS

5/13/10 Part Two

I would like to start off by saying that it was a great season and thank you for the good times Cavs. The end goal was not what everyone wanted and expected, but sometimes you just have to focus on the good. Tonight's meeting went very well and I was lucky enough to dine at a very nice establishment in Miami Beach. For anyone in this area please check out Pasha's. Service was amazing and so was the food!

Included on this post is a little commercial for the 5-Tetra. This will give a little background on the product and what it means to live "Tetrafied." Again thank you all for the support. Early rise and work in Miami at ETC tomorrow. CHEERS

Hello world. First off I would like to give birthday love to my friend Brendan O'Connor. He is a great, great man who is doing big things out in San Diego. Today has been good so far and the Flexus Group will be down in Miami Beach all day shooting content and going to meetings. I have received some very nice messages via Facebook and text from people who have read the blog. I thank you all and please follow the blog. I have always appreciated and used the power and prayers from those around me. I will be back on later and will be posting about a great Cavs win! CHEERS

5/12/10

Today was a long day at the office. I woke up late today and missed church which upset me. I went down to Miami to work with Rich Betor and Elite Talent Consultants today. We had a very productive day and are moving in a good direction. I came back up to Lauderdale and started with all of my Flexus Group projects. Very exciting things are on the horizon and I hope you guys out there will check it out.

I really wish I had something exciting to talk about and some exciting training story. However, my day was one run and a bunch of office work. Still using the Elevate-ATP in the mornings and throughout the day for that good, clean, chemical-free energy. Laying low for the rest of the evening before heading to bed. Six am wake up and out the door to run. Thank you all again.

5/11/2010 Part Two

So the afternoon was a nice and productive one. I met with Rich Betor of Elite Talent Consultants. He is a fellow Ignatius grad and a great financial mind down here in south Florida. After eating some great food at Pasha's, I came back to the apartment to shore up some business plans.

I was extremely excited for the Cavs game today, but wow I could have used that energy for something else. I guess there are just some days you don't have it. I am confident that they can pull it together in game 6. I am now just getting ready for bed so I can rise at 6am and start the day off right. Tomorrow I will be in Miami working with Rich and ETC. For those out there check out the site http://elitetalentconsultants.com/. Thank you and CHEERS

5/11/2010 Part One

Good morning all!!! Great start to the day. Woke up at 6am and got my lazy butt out of bed to do a run. Started off with two tabs of Elevate-ATP, got out the Garmin and away I went. It was a nice 5 mile run to the beach and back. I stayed at a nice cruise pace of 7-7:10. Started off a little slow and the legs started to get under me.

After my run I came back a downed a shot of the EPIC "Trauma Bomb" and followed it up with a shake of the 1-MicroPro. Afterwards, I was able to get cleaned up and go to church.

Now I am not one to overly preach, but it does feel so good to start your day off with mass. There was a great energy in the church today and mass really helps to put you in focus for the rest of your day.

I grabbed a latte from Brew Urban Cafe and now it is on the grind. I will post later. CHEERS!

Start of an EPIC journey

My life has been an up and down rollercoaster for the past six years. Ever since leaving Tennessee I have moved all over the country and have been around some great people. I am blessed to have been around some of the greatest athletes in the United States and around some of the greatest coaching minds. Looking back on it, I think that I did not take full advantage of the gifts and resources I was given. I have been scared to sell out and put everything into my training until now. I have a golden opportunity and I have two years to competely push myself to the limits and see where I can go.

One day back in 2007 I was lucky enough to run into a great man and a great mind in the world of nutrtition and sports nutrition. He is what I like to call the "Guru." I will be referring to him by that name in future posts. He has taken me under his wing and he has passed on some great knowledge. I am learning more about the human body and how proper sports nutrition can fuel the body to achieve greatness. Never in all my years of running was I this informed. He sent me literature and I studied up in Cleveland about the power of ATP. Then my eyes were opened to the power of Elevate-ATP and 5-Tetra. These are now my weapons of choice on this great journey back.

It's now May of 2010 and I have relocated to south Florida to be around the "Guru" and learn from him. Much like Luke Skywalker going to Degobah to train with Yoda, I come down here to face my fears and train like I have never trained before. Luke had the power of the force and I am armed with the power of ATP. (I know it sounds all corny, but I am a huge Star Wars guy)

Starting tomorrow I am going to be blogging all workouts, runs, supplement intake, and anything else that has to do with my training. I believe in the support group around me and trust them completely. It will not be easy and bear with me as I am trying to get myself in shape. Some of my early posts may seem rather unimpressive, but it will all come together soon. Follow me on my "Death March Diet" and my "Tetrafied" lifestyle. I thank you all for your support in the past and the support I will need in the future as I make this EPIC journey!
